JASON LEROY STEWART was born September 17, 1836 in Perrysville, Carroll County, Ohio and died October 14, 1916 in Martin County, Indiana.  He is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals, Martin County, Indiana.

 

Jason married Hannah Jane Dowell on August 12, 1857 in Harrison County, Ohio.

Hannah Jane Dowell Stewart

 

 

 

 

Hannah Jane Dowell Rigg was born June 4, 1838 and died March 22, 1917.  She is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals, Martin County, Indiana.

 

Jason and Hannah had the following children:

 

1.  Elmer Stewart

2.  Ellie Stewart

3.  Eva Stewart was born on August 12, 1865 in Martin County, Indiana and died May 29, 1935 and is buried in Hindostan Cemetery, Shoals, Martin County, Indiana.

4.  Katie Stewart

5.  Donald McPherson Stewart was born on     June 7, 1870, Shoals, Martin County, Indiana and died November 13, 1948 and is buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shoals, Martin County, Indiana.  

6.  Emma Stewart

Eva Stewart Albaugh

 

 

 

3. Eva Stewart married Oscar Albaugh on October 4 or 10, 1887 in Martin County, Indiana.

 

Eva and Oscar had the following children:

5.  Donald McPherson Stewart  married Rachel Mae Ross.  Rachael was born August 30, 1883 in Martin County, Indiana and died on November 11, 1977 and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shoals, Martin County, Indiana.

 

Donald and Rachel had the following children:

3. Emma Jane Stewart

4. Rachael Stewart

5. Walter LeRoy Stewart

6. Margret H. Stewart

7. Donald Freeman Stewart

 

According to grandson, Jerry Gottee,  his grandfather, Donald McPherson Stewart; played the violin.  He remembers his grandfather hunting squirrel with a muscot and also hunting with him.
