ROBERT PLANK

Robert Plank married Hannah Cooper, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Winter Cooper on 20 June 1723 in the First Church of Killingly, Windham County, Connecticut.  Hannah was born 29 December  1701 in Lexington, Massachusetts.   Robert died in April 1758 in Killingly, County and Colony of Connecticut.

 

Robert and Hannah had the following children:

1.  John Plank was born in 1725.

2.  William Plank was christened on 31 March 1728 and died on 4 July 1792.

3.  Sarah Plank was born in 1727. She died in June 1789.

4.  Robert Plank waas born in 1730, christened on 5 April 1730 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.

5.  Elisabeth Plank was born in 1732 was christened on 10 December 1732 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.

6.  Rachel was born in 1735, was christened on 4 May 1735 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.

7.  Deborah Plank was born in 1737, was christened on 18 September 1737 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.  Deborah married Jesse Lenerd on 30 March 1756.  Jesse was born in 1733 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.

8. Hannah Plank was born in 1740, was christened on 2 March 1740 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.  Hannah married Abner Marsh on 22 April 1765 in Thompson New Haven Second Church.  Abner was born in 1736 in Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut.

9.  Robert Plank was born on 4 July 1742.  He died on 6 December 1816.

10. Rachel Plank was born in 1745, was christened on 3 March 1745 in Thompson Parish, Windham County, Connecticut.  Rachel married Jacob Chase on 17 December 1767 in Thompson New Haven Second Church

Robert and Hannah (Cooper) Plank were received into the First Church of Killingly, Windham County, Connecticut in March 28, 1728.  Later when Thompson was set off from Killingly, they became original members of the Church of Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut, They were admitted on January 18, 1730. Robert was a signer of the North Society of Killingly, January 28, 1730.

In the name of God Amen the Seventeeth Day of April 17, 1758 I, ROBERT PLANK of Killingley in the County and Colony of Connecticut in New England    ?    man being in Health of Body and of Perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be given to God:  Therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die.  Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say first of all and principally give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in Christian burial at the definition of my Executor nothing doubting but at the general ref I shall receive the same again by the almighty power of God and as touching such wordly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me in this life:  I give dismise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. I give and bequeath to HANNAH PLANK, my dearly beloved wife the one half of my dwelling house and the one half of my barn and the one third part of the improvement of my lands or the In Come thereof to long as she shall remain my widow and if she shall see cause to marry again then to or qui the same to my son, ROBERT PLANK, and also I give and bequeath until my wife SARAH HANNAH PLANK, the one third part of all my personal estate with the doors and without doors to be to hers and to her heirs for ever --  ITEM  I give to my beloved son JOHN PLANK, besides what I have already given him the sum of five shilling in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto him out of my estate by my Executor after my decease to be to him, his heirs and assigns forever -- ITEM I give unto my well beloved daughter, SARAH JACOBS, besides what I have already given her the sum of five shillings in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto her out of my estate of my Executor to be to her and to her heirs and assigns forever -- ITEM I give unto my well beloved Son WILLIAM PLANK the sum of six pounds in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto him out of my estate by my Executor to be paid to him the said William two years after my decease to be to him, his heirs and assigns forever --  ITEM I give unto my well beloved daughter ELIZABETH BIXBY the sum of Thirty Pounds in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto her within two years after my decease by my Executor out of my estate to be to her and to her heirs and assigns forever --  ITEM I give unto my well beloved daughter DEBORAH PLANK the sum of fifty pounds in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto her out of my estate by my Executor within three years after my decease to be to her and her heirs and assigns forever  --  ITEM  I give unto my well beloved daughter HANNAH PLANK the sum of fifty pounds in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be paid unto her by my Executor out of my estate when she shall arrive to the age of eighteen years to be to her and to her heirs and assign forever  --  ITEM  I give unto my well beloved daughter  RACHEL PLANK the sum of fifty pounds to be paid to her out of my estate by my Executor when she shall arrive to the age of eighteen years to be paid in bills of Publick Credit in the old tennor to be to her and her heirs and assigns forever  --  ITEM  I give to my well beloved Son ROBERT PLANK all my Lands I am now   ?    of with the buildings thereon to be to him, his heirs and assigns forever his paying out the several legacies before mentions by me in my will willed and bequeathed and I do hereby make and ordain MR. LUTHER GAY  of Killingley my sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament ratifying and confirming this and other to be my Last Will and Testament  In witness whereof I the said ROBERT PLANK, have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said ROBERT PLANK of his Last Will and Testament in presence of us the subscribers.  ROBERT PLANK (SEAL)  JOHN FALSLOW, PHINEHAS LEE, HERZEKIAH CUTLER  --   Windham County, Killingley March 4th day A.D. 1758    then John Falslow and Phinehas Lee two of the witnesses to this will.  Personally apeared and made solemn oath that they saw ROBERT PLANK, late deceased, signs, seal, published, prounced and declare this instrument to be his Last Will and Testament and that they saw Hez Cutler set to his hand together with them as witnesses in the prefence of the Testator sworn before me for:     Justice of the Peace At a Court of Probates holden at Pomfrett March 7, 1758. Luther Gay then exhibited this Will for Probate and accepted of the trust reposed in him and is Same will is proved, approved, allowed of and ordered to be recorded and kept on file--
