Wilhelm Karl Friederich Stenzel was born 6 February 1878 in Wollschow, Deutschland, Germany, coming to America with his parents in 1889.

Wilhelm was confirmed  at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan on 10 April 1892. He chose for his confirmation bible verse: Psalm 119,33.34.

Wilhelm "Bill" was married to Louise "Lizzie" Elizabeth Kade in 1905 at Zion Lutheran Church, Iva, Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan by Carl Mueller, Clergyman. Their witnesses were William Kade and Herman Stenzel. Lizzie's  parents were Bernard and Annie Trost Kade.   

Lizzie died in 1912.

Bill and Lizzie are buried in the Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.
