Augusta Wilhelmina Louise Rohde (Karl Friedrich, Wilhelm Rohde) was born 20 November 1884 in Gorkow, Kreis Randow, Pommernia, Germany. She died 26 May 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan and was buried in LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.
Augusta married Franz Johann Henske "Frank" son of Fred Hensky and Augusta Fitting, on 2 October 1902 in St. Peter's Evangical Church, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan by Rev. K.F. Mueller. Minna Rohde, Herman Koeppen, Albert Hinske and Anna Wardin were witnesses to the marriage of Augusta (Rohde) and Frank Hinske.
Frank was born 15 October 1879 in Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. He died 16 April 1956 in Merrill, Michigan and was buried in LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.

Richland Township, Hemlock, Michigan in 1890 from Utica, Macomb County, Michigan. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Iva, Michigan. Augusta was a homemaker who loved to bake and
cook. She liked to garden, both vegetable and flower, and her favorite flower was the astor.
Frank Henske was a carpenter and mason who worked for the Road Commission. Frank built the forms for the cement-work on bridges. During the depression, Frank and his family traveled
around following his job. Frank settled in and built homes and barns throughout the Merrill and Hemlock area. In 2005, three of his barns are still standing. Frank was a very
capable man who would do well at anything he set his mind to. After retirement, Frank built swings and outdoor furniture of cedar wood.
Augusta and Frank Henske had the following children:
1. Boy Henske (twin) was born 6 February 1904 Ingersoll Township, Midland County, Michigan . He died 6 February 1904 and was buried LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.
2. Friedrich Karl Herman Henske (twin) was born 6 February 1904 and died 11 September 1981.
3. Martha Ella Bertha Henske was born 13 April 1906 and died 22 December 1989.
4. Bertha Louise Henske was born 3 September 1910 and died 16 July 1995.
5. Hilda Marie Henske was born 1 June 1917 and died on 3 June 2016 at the age of 99 years old.
6. Clarence Emil Henske was born 12 June 1920 and died 30 September 2000.
7. Beatrice Mae Henske was born 24 April 1923 and died 24 June 1924.
Fred Henske was born 6 February 1904 in Ingersoll Township, Midland County, Michigan and was christened 28 February 1904 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan. He died 11 September 1981 in Clare, Clare County, Michigan and was buried in Dale Cemetery, Beaverton, Gladwin County, Michigan.
Bertha Louise Henske was born 3 September 1910 in Ingersol Township, Midland County, Michigan and was christened 18 September 1910 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan. Her baptism sponsors were August Wardin, Gustav Hoeppner, Bertha Rohde and Luise Saal. Bertha died 16 July 1995 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan and was buried 19 July 1995 in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.
She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Hemlock, Michigan. Bertha also worked at the Merrill Drug Store for many years.
Bertha married Walter C. Dietrich on 5 November 1933. on 5 November 1933. Walter was born 2 July 1896 in Buena Vista Township, Saginaw County, Michigan. He died 13 April 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan and was buried in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richland Township, Hemlock, Michigan.
Bertha and Walter had the following children:
1. James G. Dietrich was born 11 April 1936, Merrill, Jonesfield Twp., Merrill, Mi.
2. Duane Carl Dietrich was born 28 December 1940.
3. Eloise Dietrich was born around 1946. She graduated from Merrill High School in the class of 1964. Eloise married Ron Sherman at Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan in 1966. Eloise and Ron had three children: Donald, Daniel and Shelley Sherman. Eloise died 9 January 2020.
Jim was born 11 April 1936, Merrill, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan and was christened the same year. He married Caroljean (Carol) Bluemer on 10 May 1958. Jim had been a life-long resident of Merrill, Michigan. He graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1955. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear, Saginaw, Michigan afer 34 years of service. Jim engaged in farming in Merrill all of his life. He had been a active member of Iva, Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan. Jim enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing and loved playing cards with his card group. Jim and Carol had three children: Janelle, Joanne and Jeanette. Jim died on 20 October 2017 and Carol died 10 April 2020, they are both buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.
Duane was born 28 December 1940. Duane was a member of the Iva, Zion Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. He worked for General Motors Transmission Plant, Saginaw, Michigan. for over 31 years retiring in 1992. He also farmed in the Merrill, Michigan area for many years. He enjoyed and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Duane had two children: Michael and Sandra. Duane died 8 October 2006 and is buried in the Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.
Hilda Maria Henske was born 1 June 1917 and was christened 17 June 1917 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan. Hilda's sponsors of baptism were Wilhelm Rohde, Julius Pretzer Jr., Louise Rohde and Mrs. Albert Hinske.
Hilda was married to Floyd Maynard Clapp on & November 1936 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock Michigan. Hilda and Floyd had 5 children: Franklyn, Patricia, Robert and twins, Delores and Darlene.
Floyd died on 8 April 1968 and Hilda died on 3 June 2016 at the age of 99 years old. Hilda and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hemlock, Michigan for over 80 years. She dearly loved making quilts for World Relief and faithfully made a quilt for each member of her family. Hilda and Floyd are both buried in the LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.
Hilda was a real asset to the Henske genealogy and photos that were collected and researched.
Hilda married Floyd Maynard Clapp on 7 November 1936. Floyd was born 16 July 1907 in Ohio. He died 8 April 1968 in Merrill, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan and was buried in LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.
Hilda and Floyd had the following children:
1. Franklyn Thomas Clapp was born 31 May 1937, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

Franklyn Thomas Clapp was born 31 May 1937, Jonesfield Township, Saginaw County, Michigan and baptized the same year at Iva, Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan. He died 8 January 1941 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan of complications due to Mennigitis at three years seven months and seven days old. Franklyn is buried in the LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.

Beatrice Mae Henske was born 24 April 1923 in Ingersol Township, Midland County, Michigan. She was christened 13 May 1923 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. She died 24 June 1924 and was buried 25 June 1924 in LaPorte Cemetery, Midland County, Michigan.
Beatrice's sponsors of baptism were Anna Rohde, Anna Tilden and Wilhelm Koeppen. Beatrice died when she was 14 months old.
