Albert August Wilhelm Rohde (Karl Friedrick, Wilhem Rohde) was born 24 December 1889 in Macomb County, Michigan.  He died 1 April 1951 in Richland Township, Hemlock, Michigan and was buried 4 April 1951 in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

Albert's Confirmation Bible Verse was Matthew 11 V's. 28 & 29.   He was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Albert worked for the Down Chemical Corporation in Midland, Michigan.

 

Albert married Anna Martha Roggow on 13 February 1915 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. Their marriage witnesses were Emil Kruth, Marie Roggow, Wilhelm Rohde and Hedwig Pretzer.    Anna was born 10 May 1896 in Bay City County, Michigan.  She died 25 September 1986 in Saginaw General Hospital, Saginaw, Michigan and was buried 27 September 1986 in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.

1.   Infant son Rohde was born on 15 August 1915 and died the same day.  He was buried in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.

2..   Kenneth Karl Rohde was born 25 December 1921 and died 27 December 1981.

3.   Donald Robert Rohde was born 29 November 1926 and died 15 August 1993.

4.   Ila Lucille Rohde was born 28 March 1928 in Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  She died on 6 July 2013 in Thomas Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

5.   Robert Elmer Rohde was born 9 September 1931 and died 9 September 1979.

6.   Edwin Carl Rohde was born 7 May 1937 and died 1 March 2009.

Kenneth Karl Rohde was born 25 December 1921 and was christened 29 January 1922 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Michigan.  He died 27 December 1981 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was buried in Mossburg Cemetery, Indiana.

 

Ken's sponsors for his baptism were Fred Rohde, Albert Hinske, Selma Roggow and Anna Stenzel. 

 

Kenneth was in the United States Army during WWII and was a construction worker.Kenneth was in the United States Army during WWII and enlisted on 4 August 1942 and was discharged on 27 December 1945. While in the Army his military branch was Field Artiller and Tank Destroyer Units. In June 1945, he had entered a Field Hospital with the diagnosis of burns to his hand and arm.

 

Kenneth was a professional construction worker in and around the cities of Fort Wayne and Bluffton, Indiana.

Donald Robert Rohde was born 29 November 1926 in Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan and was christened 19 December 1926 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Michigan.  He died 15 August 1993 and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Michigan. 

 

Donald's sponsors for his baptism were William Rohde, Bertha Pretzer and Albert Roggow.

 

Donald married Charlotte M. Woodhull.  Charlotte was born 13 May 1928 in Hemlock, Michigan. She died 4 July 2001 in Saginaw, Michigan and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Michigan.

 

Donald was employed for Morley Brothers of Saginaw, Michigan for over 32 years and retired from R.S. Electronics.  He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Hemlock, Michigan.

Donald and Charlotte had the following children:

 

Ruth Ann Rohde was born 20 September 1946 and was christened 27 October 1946 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township,  Hemlock, Michigan.

 

Ruth Ann graduated from Hemlock High School, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.  She continued her education and received a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Isabella County, Michigan.  She worked as a Second Grade Teacher in the Freeland School System.

 

  Ruth Ann died 25 September 1997 in Saginaw, Michigan and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Michigan.

Ila Lucille Rohde was born 28 March 1929 in Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  She was christened 14 April 1929 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richand Township, Hemlock, Michigan.  Ila's sponsors for baptism were Caroline Rohde, Elisabeth Reitz and Friedrich Roggow.  She passed away Saturday, 6 July 2013 at her home in Thomas Township, Saginaw County, Michigan and was buried on 9 July 2013 in the Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richland Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

Ila married Ralph Braley on 16 October 1948 and had the following children:

1.  Wayne Abner Braley

2.  Gary Edward  Braley

3.  Cheryl Ann Braley 24 January 1955 in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan. Cheryl graduated from Hemlock High School with the class of 1973.  Cheryl was well known in the Hemlock community as "The Tint Lady of Saginaw" starting at Pro-Style Auto Centers, and working for various other shops, tinting windowsl  She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock, Michigan.  Cheryl enjoyed bowling, casino trips, outdoors, concerts, and music.  She loved sports and adored animals.  She had three daughters, Jill, Julie amd Amanda.  Cheryl passed away on 11 February 2023.

 

Ila graduated from Hemlock High School, Hemlock, Michigan. She was a lifetime  member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hemlock, Michigan and she belonged to the St. Peter's Mary Martha Ladies Group and the St. Peter's Church Choir. Ila also worked for the Graber Shade Company in Saginaw, Michigan.  Ila and her husband Ralph enjoyed their summers  on the River Bend of the Rifle River in Omar, Michigan.

Robert Elmer Rohde was born 9 September 1931 in Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County,  Michigan and was christened 4 October 1931 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richland Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. Robert's sponsors for his baptism were Herbert Preuss, Bert Tilden and Agnes Rohde. Robert was in the United States Navy Air Force, he enlisted on 27 September 1965 and was discharged 28 April 1969.  

 

Robert died 9 September 1979 and was buried in Richland Lutheran Cemetery, Richand Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.

Edwin Carl Rohde was born 7 May 1937 in Saginaw County, Michigan and was christened 24 May 1937 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richand Township, Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan.  He died 1 March 2009 in Blufton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton, Indiana and was buried 4 March 2009 in Mossburg Cemetery, Liberty Center, Indiana.

 

Edwin married Clella Rose Pace "Rose" on 2 September 1961 in Bluffton, Indiana.  Rose died 14 September 2005.

 

Edwin and Rose had the following children:
