ANNA SOPHIA BUCHHOLTZ

Anna Sophia Buchholtz (Johann Christian Jochim Buchholtz, (Martin) Johann Wilhelm Buchholz, Martin Jochim Heinrich Buchholtz, Franz Christian Buchholtz) was born 9 January 1881 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.

Anna married Henry George Hentrich, son of George and Elizabeth Buckhart Hentrich,  on 15 January 1899 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Covington, Ohio by Pastor L. f. Mittler.  Henry was born 23 June 1876 in Covington, Ohio..  He died 22 July 1941 and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Miami County, Ohio.

Anna and Henry had the following children:

1.  Elizabeth Hentrich was born 8 July 1899 in Covington, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio.  She died 22 December 1914 in Covington, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio and was buried 26 December 1914 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio.  Elizabeth passed away at the age of 15 years 5 months and 14 days old of a pulmonary infection.

2.  George J. Hentrich was born 15 January 1901 in Covington, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio.  He died 19 August 1923 in Washington Township, Miami County, Ohio and was buried 22 August 1923 in Highland Cemetery, Covington, Miami County, Ohio.George passed away when he was 22 years 7 months and 4 days old.  He was single and worked as a Spinner at the Piqua Hoisiery Company, Piqua, Ohio.  George was struck by an automobile in Washington Township, Miami County, Ohio and passed away due to a fracture of the skull.

3.  John J. Hentrich was born 2 February 1904 in Covington, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio.

4.  Leo B. Hentrich was born 17 January 1906 and died 15 March 1959 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.  He was 53 years old.

Leo lived with his grandparents John and Anna Prahlor Buchholtz after his mother, Anna passed away when Leo was very young.

4.  Leo married Thelma Jane Apple, daughter of Walter and Charlotte (Lottie) Jordan Apple.  Thelma was born 18 February 1910 in Johnson Township, Ohio.  She died 18 August 1930 in Memorial Hospital, Miami County, Piqua, Ohio and was buried 23 August 1930 in Spring Grove Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio.

Leo and Thelma had the following children:

a.  Patricia Hentrich

b.  Daughter Hentrich was born 18 August 1930 and died 18 August 1930.

Leo also married (2) Helen Simmons and they had the following children:

d.  Leo James Hentrich

**Newspaper Article from The Piqua Daily - Friday, March 20, 1959** L.B. HENTRICH, 53, DIES; ONCE OF COVINGTON, OHIO - Mr. Hentrich, an employee of the Master Electric Co., Dayton, Ohio was found dead at his residence in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday.  The son of the late Henry and Anna Bucholtz Hentrich, he had resided most of his life in Covington, Ohio until 1942 when he moved to Dayton, Ohio.  He was for many years a member of Company M of the Ohio National Guard.

Leo James Hentrich married Sallly Sue Hensley Eversole on August 28, 1964
