LIZZIE BUCHHOLTZ

In the 1900 census of Pleasant Hill Village, Newton Township, Miami County, Ohio it shows that Lissie Buchholtz was 17 years old and atttending school.   She was born in January 1883 in Ohio. 

 

On Lizzie's marriage license filed and dated 13 January 1903 it states the following.

 

Lizzie Buchholtz (Johann Christian Jochim Buchholtz, (Martin) Johann Wilhelm Buchholz, Martin Jochim Heinrich Buchholtz, Franz Christian Buchholtz)  was born 4 January 19883 in Miami County, Ohio and she was 20 years old.  She was living at  Kilmer Street #32 in Dayton, Ohio.  Her parents were John and Anna Prahler Buchholtz.  Lizzie married Herman Haap, son of Michael and Pauline Hirschfeld Haap, on the 7 January 1903 by Squire Wombold from Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.  Herman was born 20 August 1876 in Covington, Miami County, Ohio and he was 26 years old.

 

In 1920 according to the United States Census, Herman Haap, age 44, was single living with his mother in Covington, Miami County, Ohio.

 

In 1930 according to the United States Census, Herman Haap was a widower living with his mother, Pauline Haap in Covington, Miami County, Ohio.

 

Herman Samuel Haap died 31 January 1942 in Randolph Township, Montgomery County, Ohio.  When he died he was a widower and his wife was named Liza.
