DOROTHY MARIE BUCHOLZ

Dorothy Marie Bucholz (Carl Friedrich Theodore Johann Bucholz, (Martin) Johann Wilhelm Buchholz, Martin Jochim Heinrich Buchholtz, Franz Christian Buchholtz) was born September 20, 1923 in Marion Springs, Marion Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  She died on October 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center , Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Dorothy was buried on October 25, 2014 in St. Mary's of Albee Catholic Cemetery, Albee Township, Saginaw County, Michigan

 

Dorothy married Anthony P. Mitas, son of Joseph and Maria Kobela Mitas, on 26 August 1944 in Albee, Saginaw County, Michigan.  Anthony was born 5 May 1921 in St. Charles Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.  He died 16 May 1997 at his home in St. Charles, Michigan and was buried 19 May 1997 in St. Mary's  of Albee Catholic Cemetery, Albee Township, Saginaw County, Michigan.

 

Dorothy liked to garden, crochet, birdwatch, spend time with family and was a wonderful cook of comfort food.  She was a kind and loving person, whose gentle smile and long hugs warmed all the lives around her.  She was always positive and always cheerful.  Dorothy's character brought out the best in people and will continue to inspire others to live with the grace and eloquence in which she lived.  She was a member of St. Mary's of Albee Catholic Church, its Altar Society and League of Catholic Woman.

 

Dorothy was also the last grandchild of John William and Mary Oda Buchholz to pass away.
