SARAH RIGG BARRICK
Sarah Rigg (Robert, George clement, Robert) was born 31 August 1825 in North Township, Harrison County, Ohio. She died 10 October 1884 in Dellroy Township, Carroll County, Ohio and was buried in Zion Cemetery (Old Section Row 10), Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio.
Sarah married Samuel Barrick, son of John Barrick and Eva Lawyer on 28 January 1847 in Carroll County, Ohio. Samuel was born in Pennsylvania. He died 24 August 1877 and was buried in Zion Cemetery (Old Section Row 10), Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio.
They had the following children:
1. Robert R. Barrick was born 10 February 1848. He died 25 October 1881 and was buried in Harrisburg Cemetery, Carroll County, Ohio.
2. John Wesley Barrick was born 23 May 1850. He died 7 October 1851 in Carroll County, Ohio and was buried in Zion Cemetery, Monre Township, Carroll County, Ohio.
John W. Barrick was 2 years one month and 14 days old when he passed away.
3. William Clark Barrick was born 15 May 1851 in Harrison Township, Carroll County, Ohio and was buried in Zion Cemetery, Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio.
William Clark Barrick lived in Carroll County all his life, was a successful farmer.
4. Emma Barrick was born 16 June 1853 in Carroll County, Ohio. She died 23 September 1921 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio and was buried 26 September 1921 in Bethleham Cemetery, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
5. Ida Mae Barrick was born 11 March 1856. She died 24 January 1915 in Louden County, Tennessee.
6. Samuel Palmer Barrick was born 28 November 1858. He died 3 April 1932 in Harrison Township, Carroll County, Ohio and was buried 5 April 1932 in Baxter Ridge, Carroll County, Ohio.
7. Cora Alice Barrick was born 2 May 1865. She died 28 April 1904.
BIOGRAHICAL RECORD - CARROLL, OHIO - BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES OF PROMINENT AND REPRESENTIVE CITIZENS, J. H. BEERS 7 CO. 1891. --Samuel married in Pennsylvania to Miss Hattie Crum, also a native of the Keystone State, born of German ancestry. At the age of twenty-one Samuel Barrick came to what afterward became Carroll County Ohio, where he bought a farm, at that time but little improved, the dwelling thereon being an unhewn-log cabin. This place he set to work to clear, and soon had it reduced to a fertile farm, made, by his care and industry to "blossom as the rose," which farm he carried on, in connection with his trade, that of carpenter, which he had learned in the East. He later lived in Rose Township, and followed his trade, building many of the houses and barns in his country district. As a cabinet maker he also performed the chief functions of a pioneer undertaker, making the coffins. In 1844 Mrs. Barrick died, and in 1847, Mr. Barrick married a MISS RIGGS, A native of Michigan ??, who bore him seven children - six daughters and one son. Mr. Barrick died in 1877; his widow is still living
6. Samuel Palmer Barrick
His full name was Samuel Palmer Barrick, but went by "Palmer", he was born November 28, 1858 in Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio, and died on April 3, 1932 in Carroll County, Ohio.
His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday - April 8, 1932 was as follows:
Samuel P. Barrick, 73, died of dropsy on Sunday at his home near Dellroy. Funeral services were held in the Dellroy Methodish Church and burial made at Baxter's Ridge. Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Harkless and Grace Rader.
His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday - April 15, 1932 as follows:
Palmer Barrick, son of Samuel and Sarah Barrick, was born November 28, 1858, in Monroe Township on the farm which is now owned by Samuel Tipton near Sherrodsville. He died April 3rd at the age of 73 years. He was married to Margaret J. Beany on January 12, 1882.
To this union were born one son and two daughters. William G., who preceded him in death, three years: Mrs. Olive Harkless near Dellroy and Mrs. Grace Raber, of East Canton and a nephew, Alfred Henericks, of the home, whom they raised from the age of five years. He was converted in revival meeting held at Union Valley under the pastorate of Rev. James Meek nearly 57 years ago. Some time afterware he united with the Baxter's Ridge Church in which he remained a member until his death. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, two daughters, five grandchildrfen and a host of friends.

William's obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio; Thursday - August 23, 1928 is as follows:
William George Barrick, Dellroy Postmaster, after an illness of about six weeks, died Saturday in the Aultman Hospital at Canton. Mr. Barrick was born January 3, 1883, in Rose Township and with the exception of eight years, during which he spent a few years on a trip through the west, he resided in the Immediate vicinity of Dellroy.
He is survived by his parents, Palmer and Margaret (Beany) Barrick, and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Harkless and Mrs. Grace Sweisberger. He was a member of the Presyterian Church and
affiliated with the Odd Fellows Lodge. Funeral services, which were conducted by Rev. Sanders and Walters, were held Monday in the Presbyterian Church, and burial was made in the Baxter's Ridge
Cemetery.
