Valara Gay was born 26 April 1893 in Holt, Alaiedon Township, Ingham County, Michigan.  She died 27 October 1980 in Ingham Medical Hospital, Lansing, Ingham County,  Michigan.

Valara married LeRoy "Roy" Evans on 6 October 1914 in the parsonage of the Mason Baptist Church in Mason, Michigan.

 

Valara and Roy had the following children:

1.  Herbert J.B. Evans was born 8 August 1915 and died 28 October 1992.

2.  Ruth Ruberta Evans was born 1918.

3.  Donald Evans was born 3 March 1937.
