Newspaper Article:  A pretty New Year's wedding celebrated at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Rigg.  Their daughter, Fern, was united in marriage to Mr. Maxwell Arman. The ceremony was performed Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, on January 1, 1914, by the Reverend Schultz of Marion Springs, and was witnessed by between fifty and sixty guests, and relatives of the couple.  The couple were attended by Ray and Lydia Rigg, sister and brother of the bride and Earl Arman, brother of the groom and Miss Mensel (should be Wenzel).  The bride was attired in white satin and veiled in white silk net and carried a bouquet of white carnations.  Following the ceremony an elaborate dinner was served.  The house was decorated with evergreens. The happy couple expect to make their home on the groom's farm five miles south of Merrill.
